Mr. Knickerbocker began Electro-Mech's CAD drafting department
in 1985 and now heads-up the Computer Department. He keeps abreast
of the field by attending seminars, workshops, equipment shows and by constantly
reading the latest information in the computer world.
Mr. Knickerbocker has been trained by Carrier Corporation
in the use of their E20-II HVAC design software. Equipment selection
programs are used from a variety of manufacturers to aid in the proper
selection of plumbing and HVAC equipment. He attends seminars annually
to keep abreast of the developments of the HVAC software packages.
He also calculates water flow requirements and designes sprinkler systems
with the aid of a hydraulic sprinkler design program.
Mr. Knickerbocker has attended the University of Akron
for four years majoring in electrical engineering. This makes his
background diversified in both fields of or operation and provides the
client with a coordinated set of drawings.
CAD generated drawings that Robert's department has prepared
include mechanical and electrical systems for Microtel motels, "Q" Sports
Clubs, Shopping Centers, Lowe's Home Improvement stores and all other projects
designed by the firm.
